Denver East Students Protest Gun Violence

Two days after a Denver East High School student died from being shot as he left campus three weeks ago. The protest was attended by a couple of hundred students who voiced their outrage about ongoing gun violence in the city. The 8am protest saw police, state patrol and school administrators oversee the peaceful protest.


At one point the group tried to enter the state capitol building and chanted "Let us in" - but it was a peaceful protest and no violence or disorderly conduct was witnessed. No counter protest was seen at the scene or in the area.
