When I walk around these events, I see some pretty ridiculous things (what you overhear is even better). Here's a few of my favs. I'll keep adding to this post. There's lots more.

Aurora's finest. Hands down the most ridiculous cop of the summer. No doubt texting his buddy......"dude I'm facing down a mob of commies with my AR."

This is one of the guys who got sent in to break up the violin concerto. Yikes. I've said it before. Not a good look.

The new face of urban policing.

More of a traditional riot cop with a club.

No body cam. No name badge. Well outfitted. Seriously a lot of dollars on equipment these guys use. Oakleys.

As for the guy with the shades,...might as well be Oakleys - which seem to have become the preferred eye ware of cops and the patriot militias .

So these dudes must have been out getting coffee when they handed out gear. But if you look at how these guys are dressed - they look like a cop should look. Not like a soldier. Maybe its a retro 1960's Edmund Pettus Bridge look?

And there are protesters too! Lot's of them. I am careful when among them not to snap too many solo shots of protesters. I have other posts that go into this but I promise that if these continue, I will get a real camera and get some good ones. I definitely do not purposefully show the faces of participants. While they should all be wearing masks, and most do, sometimes they come off. Note, I do not hide the faces of law enforcement as they have no right of privacy while they carry out their job in a public space. If people do not have a mask of any kind, I also make no effort to hide identity. Wear a mask and there's no problem.

It's also the year 2020 and so there are many elements of modern pop culture present. Social Media is of course huge. Scooters. Share bikes. Hover boards and whatever this thing is called.
And the cops are not the only ones with drones. Protesters have them too, though I didn't see an organized use of them. But I'm sure that will happen in the future.

Aurora kidnap victim.

Well adorned protester. Most of the body armor stuff is made for motorcyclists.
